Atleast six activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League of Chittagong University Unit were injured in a attack by its fellows yesterday.
Both the supporters of the two groups are blessed with Chittagong City Corporation Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin.
Police and eye witness said, some 20-30 activists of Concord, a shuttle train’s boggy based cluster assaulted the activists of Akakar, another boggy based BCL group over establishing supremacy while they were boarding at Shuttle train at around 2.15 pm.
The injured were identified as Niaz Ahmed of Physics under 2012-13, Mitul of Chemistry Department, Zihad of Geography Department under 2013-14, Rahul Mazumder of Political Science under 2012-13, Billal Hossain of IERT and Zahid of Computer Science.
The injured were admitted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital while two were in critical condition.
BCL sources said, infighting between the two groups was continuing after propaganda of forming the committee of Chittagong University unit BCL, was erupted among the leaders of BCL of CU unit.
