BCL clash claims trader’s life

A businessman was killed during a clash between two rival groups of the port city unit of ruling Awami League’s student body Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) in Kamal Gate area under Sadarghat police station here on early Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as M Jahid, 26, son of late Abdur Razzak, hailed from the same area.
According to the Chittagong Medical College Hospital police outpost sources, two groups of BCL men, led by Royel and Anis respectively, locked into a gunfight in the area that left Jahid critically injured while he was passing through the area. Later, he was taken to the CMCH where the on-duty doctors declared him dead. None was arrested in this connection.
