A leader of Bangladesh Chhatra League was snatched away from police custody by his cohorts at Gafargaon in Mymensingh on Wednesday night.
The BCL leader was identified as Mohammad Russell. Local sources said that he was arrested by the police along with firearms and bullets when taking preparation to commit a crime.
Police also have recovered arms and ammunitions from the area. They were conducting massive hunt to nab the culprits till the time of filing of this report at 11:20pm yesterday.
