Bangladesh China Friendship Association (BCFA) would celebrate the 40th founding anniversary of establishment of diplomatic ties between Bangladesh and China as well as the 66th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China in a befitting manner.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the BCFA with the association Acting President Nozmul Haque Nannu in the chair.
The meeting also decided to accord a reception to the new Chinese ambassador in Dhaka, a press release said here on Friday.
The meeting was addressed, among others, by Noor Mohammad Khan, former minister and vice president of the association, Mohammad Jalal Uddin, secretary general, A. Rahim, a veteran journalist and vice president, Istiak Ahmed Chowdhury, vice president, Ziaul Haque Milu, president of Moulana Bhashani Smriti Sangsad, Anjum Ara, Shiuli Sayeed, Azizul Islam Bachchu and Raquibul Islam Rana.
The BCFA acting president in his welcome address stressed the need of making the association more vibrant and strengthening the relations between the people of two countries.
