A memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) and US-Bangla Global Chamber will soon be signed, aiming to boost investment in Bangladesh by American investors.
The decision was taken at a conference titled ‘US-Bangla Trade and Investment Conference’ held recently in Manhattan of the New York City, according to a Foreign Ministry media release issued on Sunday night.
Finance Minister AMA Muhith, State Minister for Foreign Affairs M Shahriar Alam, Bangladesh Ambassador in Washington M Ziauddin, FBCCI President Abdul Matlub Ahmed and BGMEA leaders were present.
US business leaders, including the ones from New York Chamber, were also present.
Bangladeshi speakers invited US investment to IT, solar energy, infrastructure development, tourism and financial sector.
