Nurul Islam, Chief Engineer of Barisal City Corporation (BCC) received show cause notice by Local Government and Rural development Ministry (LGRD) for irregularities in promotion of employees.
He asked to submit his reply within seven working days.
Barisal City Corporation Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ranajit Karmakar on Wednesday confirmed this fact.
He said after Nikhil Chandra Das, CEO of BCC transferred, and then Nurul Islam performed duty of acting CEO.
