Practice one-day match: BCB XI lose to Afghanistan

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) XI lost to Afghanistan by 66 runs in the lone practice one-day match at the Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah on Friday.
Sent into bat first, Afghanistan made a fighting total of 233 in 49.2 overs and then skittled out BCB XI for 167 off 38.1 overs.
Mosaddek Hossain of BCB XI shone with the willow making a superb 76 from 97 balls including three sixes and five fours before he was cleanly bowled out by Mohammad Nabi when BCB XI’s score was 154 for the loss of six wickets.
Shuvagata Hom Chowdhury was the other notable scorer for BCB XI who made 34 off 31 balls hitting four fours and a sixer.
Mohammad Nabi of Afghanistan captured four wickets at the cost of 24 runs while Fareed Ahmed and Rashid Khan bagged a pair of wickets each for 19 and 25 runs respectively.
Besides, Karim Janat took one wicket instead of 28 runs.
Earlier, Hashmatullah Shahidi hit a marvelous 69 from 96 balls including five fours and a six.
Mirwais Ashraf remained unbeaten with 32. His 19-ball knock was studded with two sixes and three fours.
Asghar Stanikzai made 31 off 63 balls with four fours while Rashid Khan scored 30 from 24 balls hitting four boundaries.
Alauddin Babu and Mehedi Hasan Miraz of BCB XI grabbed three wickets each in the space of 32 and 48 runs respectively.
Besides, Abu Hider and Suvashish Roy bagged a pair of wickets each conceding 22 and 44 runs respectively.
