Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) XI team led by Anamul Haque Bijoy will leave Dhaka for Kolkata today (Friday) to play in the Acharya Memorial Trophy in India.
The tournament will begin on Sunday (October 26) with the participation of four teams. All the matches will be held at Jadavpur University Second Campus Ground (JUSCG) in Salt Lake.
BCB XI will take on Mumbai XI in their first match to be held at JUSCG, Salt Lake on October 27, just a day after the onset of the tourney.
Cricket Association of Bengal has been organising the meet to mark the 150-year anniversary of the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
Besides BCB XI, Mumbai, Karnataka and Bengal XI will take part in the tournament.
As Nasir Hossain, Bijoy and spinner Elias Sunny will play the tournament, they will not be considered for the first Test match of the three-match Test series against Zimbabwe.
