BCB XI beat Bengal by 74 runs

Bangladesh Cricket Board XI beat Bengal by 74 runs in their third match of the CAB SK Acharya Memorial Challenger Trophy at Jadavpur University 2nd Campus Ground in Salt Lake, Kolkata, on Thursday.
In the day’s friendly match, sent in to bat first, BCB XI scored 309 for 8 in stipulated 50 overs.
Number six Nasir Hossain scored team highest 74 runs off 75 balls with six fours and a six while Naeem Islam made not out 61 runs off 80 balls with two fours.
Skipper-cum-opening batsman Anamul Haque Bijoy (44), number five Soumya Sarkar (40) and Abul Hasan Raju (29) were the other notable scorers for BCB XI.
Iresh Saxena grabbed three wickets for 43 runs; Veer Pratap Singh claimed two wickets for 59 runs while Subhajit Banerjee, Saurashis Lahiri and Ashrafuddin took one wicket apiece.
Chasing 310 runs for win, Bengal were all out for 235 runs in 48.1 overs.
One down Sudip Chatterjee scored 66 runs off 81 balls with seven fours while number nine Veer Pratap Singh (34), opening batsman Arindam Das (26), Laxmi Ratna Shukla (25), Saurashis Lahiri (24) and Dibyendu Chakraborty (21) were the other notable scorers for Bengal.
Arafat Sunny captured four wickets for 38 runs in 10 overs, Shahid grabbed three wickets for 24 runs while Naeem Islam took two wickets and Soumya Sarkar one wicket.
