The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) wants Mashrafe Bin Mortaza’s return to T20I Cricket competitions after sorrow performance against Sri Lanka.
Earlier, Mashrafe announced his retirement from T20I Cricket competitions.
Chief Selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu said, ” We have requested Mashrafe to withdraw his announcement from T20I Cricket. We have chance some newcomers from BPL but they failed to perform up to the mark and also failed to be replacement of Mashrafe.
Specially We did not get the alternate of Mashrefe’s four overs. So, we request to Mashrafe to return to T20I Cricket. But Mashrafe have not yet agreed with us.”
Nannu also said, ” Mashrafe is interested to return to Test Cricket. We missed Mashrafe and Shakib Al Hasan in the T20I matches against Sri Lanka. If they could play for Bangladesh, the result might be different.”
