BCB waits for SLC’s decision

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has waited for the decision of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) about the upcoming three-match Test series. Sri Lanka Cricket proposed that players and officials of Bangladesh Cricket team have to take in 14-day quarantine after they reach Sri Lanka. The Three-match Test series is scheduled to start from the last week of October and Bangladesh Cricket team are scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka later this month. The BCB informed to Sri Lanka Cricket that the members of Bangladesh Cricket team would take in seven-day quarantine after they arrive in the island.
On the other hand, the Ministry of Health of Sri Lanka is adamant that the members of Bangladesh Cricket team have to take in 14-day quarantine at Sri Lanka.
Chairman of the Cricket Operations Committee of BCB Akram Khan said to the newsmen, ” If Sri Lanka Cricket changes their decision, then BCB will send Bangladesh Cricket team in Sri Lanka. We are interested to send our team there.”
Akram Khan said, ” Sri Lanka Cricket and the Ministry of Health have to change their decision. If they do that, we shall send our team.”
He said, ” As the Sports Minister of Sri Lanka showed positive attitude, we are hopeful that the Health Ministry of Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka Cricket will change their decision.”
