Sports Reporter :
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has waited for the decision of Government to resume Dhaka Metropolis Premier Division Cricket League (DMPDCL). The cricket competitions had a recess of two months due to coronavirus pandemic.
After one round matches, the DMPDCL has been postponed for an uncertain time.
Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis (CCDM), which organisation arranges the DMPDCL, said the League will resume after the Government gives the green signal to restart the DMPDCL.
Member Secretary of CCDM Ali Hossain said, ” The Government has decided to reopen the government and private offices and has removed the lockdown. But the Government yet has not take decision to start the sport competitions.”
He said, ” Without any decision of Government, there is no chance to resume the DMPDCL. The Ministry of Youth and Sports should take decision to resume the DMPDCL.”
The officials of participating clubs said, ” Before resuming the League, CCDM has to give ten days to the participating teams for practice. Though it will take more time to resume the League.”
