BCB North Zone- Islami Bank East Zone match ends in draw

The 3rd Bangladeshi Cricket League (BCL) match between BCB North Zone and Islami Bank East Zone ended in draw on the 4th and final day at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium here on Sunday.
Islami Bank East Zone, which piled up a huge 473 runs in the first innings featuring double century by Alok Kapali, opened the 2nd innings Sunday morning and scored 106 for 4 in 40.2 overs at stumps on a rain-interrupted 4th and final day.
Opener Sadman Islam scored 48, another opener Nafees Iabal 23 and Alok Kapali scored not out 17 runs in the day’s 2nd innings.
Sanjamul Islam bagged three wickets for 39 runs.
Alok Kapali, who hit 228 runs off 382 balls featuring 17 fours and two sixes in the first innings and scored an unbeaten 17 runs in the day’s 2nd innings, was adjudged the match of the match.
Cricket Secretary of CJKS Abdul Hannan Akbar distributed the man
of the match award to Alok Kapali of Islami Bank East Zone and also the prize money to both the participating teams.
Earlier, Islami Bank East Zone batted first after winning the toss on the first day and piled up a huge 473 for all in 149 overs in the first innings with Alok Kapali making 228, Asif Ahmed 103 and Sadman 69 runs.
Mahmudul Hasan and Sanjamul Islam grabbed two wickets each.
In reply, BCB North Zone were all out for 384 runs in 107.5 overs in the first innings with national colured Junaed Siddique scoring 193 runs off 285ball hitting 17 fours and two sixes.
Nazmul Hossain Apu bagged three wickets for 100 runs.
