BCB newly elected body to pay tribute to Bangabandhu today

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Nazmul Hassan, MP and the newly elected directors of the Board will pay tribute to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing floral wreaths in front of his portrait at the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum today (Friday) at 12.30 pm.
Earlier, the BCB election was held on Tuesday last. 20 out of 23 directors,
including outgoing BCB President Nazmul Hassan Papon, have been elected unopposed.
The unopposed elected BCB directors are: Category-1: (Divisions & Districts)Chittagong Division- Akram Khan and AJM Nasiruddin, Sylhet Division-Shafiul Alam Chowdhury Nadel, Khulna Division-Kazi Inam Ahmed and Sheikh Sohel, Rajshahi Division- M Saiful Alam Chowdhury, Rangpur Division-Advocate Anwarul Islam.
Category -2 (Clubs) Afzalur Rahman Sinha, Gazi Golam Mortuza, M Hanif
Bhuiyan, M Ismail Haider Mallick, Mohammad Jalal Younus, M Lokman Hossain
Bhuiyan, Mahbubul Anam, Manjur Kader, Najib Ahmed, Nazmul Hassan Papon MP, Shawkat Aziz Russell and Tanjil Chowdhury.
They were elected uncontested as two other candidates — Enayet Hossain Siraj and Ahmed Sajjadul Alam Bobby — withdrew from the race.
Both of them are going to be the BCB directors under National Sports Council quota as per revised constitution of BCB. Category-3 (Services Division) – Khaled Mahmud Sujon.
