BCB HP team take 2-0 lead beating Northern Territory by 70 runs

Touring Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) High Performance (HP) Squad took a 2-0 lead in the five-match one day series in Australia beating Northern Territory Invitational Eleven by 70 runs in the and match at the Marrara Cricket Ground (MCG) 1 in Darwin on Thursday.
Earlier, BCB HP team made a good start in the five match one-day series beating the same team by one-wicket at the same venue on Wednesday.
Batting first in the day’s match, touring Bangladesh HP team piled up a comfortable 313 runs for 7 featuring a century by Nazmul Hossain Shanta, who contributed 101 runs off 102 balls hitting eight boundaries, before retiring.
Besides, number five batsman Irfan Sukkur hammered 47-ball 60 runs with four fours and one six, opener Anamul Haque Bijoy made 74-ball 58 runs with five fours and one six, two down Imtiaz Hossain Tanna scored 30-ball 33 runs with three boundaries.
D Mckrell grabbed four wickets for 51 runs.
In reply, hosts Northern Territory Eleven were all out for 243 runs, despite a century by J Dickman, who scored 96-ball 105 runs featuring nine fours and one six.
One-down A Gregory made 44-ball 43 runs.
Mohammad Saifuddin grabbed four wickets conceding 36 runs, Abul Hasan Raju claimed three wickets for 51 runs while E Hossain took two for 35 runs.
The touring BCB HP team will play the remaining three one-day matches against Northern Territory Invitational Eleven on July 7, 9 and 11 respectively, all at the Marrara Cricket Ground (MCG) 1 in Darwin
Moreover, BCB HP Squad will play one three-day match against local selections on July 13-15, also at the Marrara Cricket Ground (MCG) 1 in Darwin.
