The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) gave No Objection Certificates (NOC) to dashing opener Tamim Iqbal and finisher Mahmudullah Riyad on Tuesday. They will take part in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Bangladesh ODI Captain Tamim Iqbal and T20I Captain Mahmudullah Riyad will arrive in Pakistan to take part in the play-off matches. Tamim Iqbal will be the replacement of opener Chris Lynn in Lahore Qalandars, while Mahmudullah Riyad will be the replacement of English all-rounder Moeen Ali for Multan Sultans.
Mahmudullah’s Multan Sultans will take part in the first Qualifier against Karachi Kings on November 14 Tamim’s Lahore Qalandars will face Peshwar Zalmi in the play-off match on November 14, while Mahmudullah’s Multan Sultans will take part in the play-off match against Karachi Kings on the same day.
The final of the PSL will be held on November 17.
Chairman of the Cricket Operations Committee of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Akram Khan said Tamim Iqbal and Mahmudullah Riyad will compete in the Bangabandhu T20 Cup Cricket Tournament after taking part in the PSL.
Tamim Iqbal said, ” I cannot wait to play for Lahore Qalanders. It will be an amazing journey and I want to present the champions trophy to the team.”
Mahmudullah Riyad said, ” Cricket is being played very differently this year and I hope to play a part in bringing smiles to the faces of our fans.”
