The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has extended the contract for one year with Sunil Joshi, the Spin Bowling Consultant Coach of Bangladesh National Cricket team.
Earlier, BCB appointed Sunil Joshi for the two-Test Australia series. After the Australia series, BCB is highly satisfied with the performance of Sunil Joshi.
Bangladesh recorded a historic 20-run victory against Australia in the Dhaka Test. The spinners of Bangladesh played the key role for that victory. The spinners bagged 19 wickets in the Dhaka Test. Shakib Al Hasan, Mehedi Hasan Miraz and Taijul Islam, the three spinners of Bangladesh plucked 19 wickets. Rest of the one batsman of Australia was a victim of run out.
So, BCB is very pleased with the performance of Sunil Joshi. Besides, the senior cricketers also expressed their satisfaction to BCB.
Recently Sunil Joshi talked about his plan in an interview. Sunil Joshi said, ” I have worked about the main things of the bowlers. I advise them to set up fielding properly. It is a very important part for the spinners.”
Joshi said, ” I have worked with the basic and technical matters of the spinners. I advised them how to utilize the pitch. I also advised them to set up the fielders appropriately. It is very important for a spinner to set up fielder according to his bowling. I am very glad that Shakib Al Hasan and Mehedi Hasan Miraz understood my advice and they executed that properly and got a good result.”
