BCB denies to give NOC to Mustafizur for IPL

The Bangladesh Cricket Borad (BCB) denied to give a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to left-hand pacer Mustfizur Rahman. Mustafizur Rahman was interested to participate in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL), which is scheduled to be held from September 19 to November 10 in United Arab Emirates (UAE).
It was learned that the ‘ Cutter Master was approached by Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians, after both teams had withdrawn one of their pacers from the side.
Mumbai Indians replaced Lasith Malinga with James Pattinson, while Kolkata Knight Riders are yet to find a replacement for Harry Gurney. BCB denied to approve an NOC for left-arm pacer as Bangladesh will tour Sri Lanka to play a three-match Test series against the islanders which is scheduled to start from late October, during the time when the matches of IPL will be held in the UAE.
Chairman of the Cricket Operations Committee of BCB Akram Khan said to the newsmen, “Mustafizur Rahman had an offer from the teams of IPL but we did not give him NOC as Bangladesh Cricket team will tour Sri Lanka for three-match Test series, which will get underway from late October. Mustafiz is one of our important cricketer and the upcoming Sri Lanka series is also important to us.”
