BCB decides for massive change

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has decided to a massive change in Bangladesh T20I squad. Bangladesh Cricket team showed a dismal performance in the ICC T20 World Cup recently. Bangladesh finished their World Cup campaign with an unhappy note. They moved to the Super-12 phase after becoming the runners-up in their Group-B qualifiers. They tasted defeat to Scotland in their Group-B match. Besides, Bangladesh lost to Ireland and Sri Lanka in their warm-up Matches. After qualifying the Super-12, Bangladesh were billed in Group-1. Bangladesh played five matches in their Group-1 campaign and lost all the matches they played. After the disastrous performance, the BCB already took some steps to change the T20I squad. Liton Das and Soumya Sarkar may be dropped from the squad. Najmul Hossain Shanto and Parvez Hossain Emon may be included in the squad in place of Liton Das and Soumya Sarkar.
Bangladesh will directly play in the next ICC T20 World Cup. So, the BCB wants to make a strong side, which will play in the upcoming T20 World cup.
Pakistan Cricket team will arrive in Dhaka after finishing their ICC T20 World Cup campaign.
The BCB wants to a massive change in their squad before play against Pakistan. Pakistan’s mission of Bangladesh will start through a three-match T20I series. Chief Selector of the BCB Minhajul Abedin Nannu said, ” We shall call cricketers in our preliminary squad. After that, we shall finalized our main squad within five to seven days.”
Meanwhile, the BCB has decided to appoint former captain of Bangladesh Cricket team and Director of the BCB Khaled Mahmud Sujon as the Team Director of Bangladesh Cricket team for the upcoming Pakistan series.
Besides, the BCB are seeing a Batting Coach of Bangladesh Cricket team in the place of Ashwell Prince.
The BCB also interested to include local coach Mohammad Salahuddin in their panel of coaching staff. BCB has proposed Mohammad Salahuddin to act as Assistant Coach of Bangladesh Cricket team. But the decision is yet to finalized.
