BCB announces women’s T20 squad for SA Games

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Thursday announced the women’s squad for the T20 cricket event of the 13th South Asian (SA) Games to be held in Kathmandu and Pokhara, Nepal from December 1-10.
Bangladesh are in group B along with Pakistan and the Maldives while the group A consists with India, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bhutan.
Bangladesh will start their tournament campaign taking on The Maldives on December and will play their second and last group match against Pakistan on December 5.
The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semifinals scheduled to be held on December 7 while the final is slated on December 9 following the place-deciding match on December 8.
All the matches will be held in Pokahra Rangasala.
Squad: Salma Khatun (Captain), Nigar Sultana Joty (Wicketkeeper), Jahanara Alam, Ayesha Rahman, Farjana Haque Pinki, Murshida Khatun, Sanjida Islam, Shobnam Mostary, Fahima Khatun, Shamima Sultana (Wicketkeeper), Nahida Akhter, Khadija-Tu-Kubra, Ritu Moni, Puja Chakravorty, Rabeya.
Stands byes: Mimta Hena Hasnat, Fariha Islam Trisna, Suraya Azmim, Panna Gosh and Saila Sharmin.
