Emerging Asia Cup: BCB announces two teams for practice matches

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Wednesday announced two teams-Green and Red-for four practices matches ahead of the one-day-format ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup.
Bangladesh national side limited-over captain Masrafe Bin Mortaza will lead the Team Green while national all-rounder Nasir Hossain Team Red. Each team comprises 15 cricketers.
The first two practice matches between the two teams will be held at Khan Saheb Osman Ali Stadium (KSOAS) in Fatullah on March 15 and 18.
The two other matches will be held at Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium (SKICS) in Cox’s Bazar on March 22 and 23.
The 15-match involving eight-day long ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup will kick off simultaneously on March 27 at four separate venues-Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium (ZACS) and MA Aziz Stadium (MAAS) in Chittagong; SKICS Ground 1 and 2 in Cox’s Bazar.
Including host Bangladesh, a total of eight-team split in two groups will fight in the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup.
Bangladesh has been pitted in Group B alongwith Pakistan, Nepal and Hong Kong while the Group A comprises India, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Malaysia. The visiting seven sides will be arrived on March 25.
Including four national team players, Bangladesh, Pakistan, India and Sri Lanka’s Under 23 teams will take part in the 2nd edition of the tournament while the remaining four teams will be field their full-fledged national sides.
On the opening day, Bangladesh will play Hong Kong at SKICS 1 while Pakistan to face Nepal at SKICS 2. India will face Sri Lanka at ZACS and Afghanistan will meet Malaysia at MAAS.
Team Green: Mehedi Hasan Maruf, Azmir Ahmed, Shahriar Nafees, Tushar Imran, Tanbir Haider, Salman Hossain Emon, Zakir Hasan, Masrafe Bin Mortaza (captain), Ebadat Hossain, Saifuddin, Qazi Onik Islam, Shuvagata Hom, Nayeem Hasan, Rahatul Ferdous and Syed Khaled Hasan.
Team Red: Afif Hossain Dhrubo, Saif Hasan, Md Mithun, Nazmul Hossain, Nasir Hossain (captain), Yasir Ali, Abul Hasan, Mehedi Hasan, Abu Hider Rony, Nasum Ahmed, Nayeem Hasan Jr, Shafiul Islam, Yeasin Arafat Mishu, Nurul Hasan Sohan and Sunzamul Islam.
