Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Monday announced two squads for the Victory Day exhibition match scheduled to be held at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium here on Wednesday.
The 44th victory day Twenty20 cricket will start at 4:30pm.
BCB arranges the exhibition match to mark the country’s victory day every year.
A total of 28 former cricketers of Bangladesh will play in the exhibition match split in two teams named after the two martyr cricketer Shaheed Mushtaque and Shaheed Jewel, who sacrificed their livers for the country’s independence in 1971.
Shaheed Mushtaque squad: Hasanuzzaman, Shahriar Hossain Biddut, Azhar Hossain Shantoo, Faruque Ahmed, Naimur Rahman Durjoy, Mohammad Rafiqul Islam Khan, Sanuar Hossain, Hasibul Hossain Shanto, Anwar Hossain Munir, Khaled Mahmud Sujan, Neeyamur Rashid Rahul, Enamul Hoque Moni, Ehsanul Haque Seezan and Saiful Islam.
Shaheed Jewel squad: Jahangir Alam, Javed Omer Belim, Habibul Bashar Sumon, Minhazul Abedin Nannu, Akram Khan, Khaled Mashud Pilot, Saifullah Jem, Alamgir Kabir, Shafiuddin Ahmed Babu, Athar Ali Khan, Mahmudul Hasan Rana (Bikash), Mohammed Ali, Mohammed Rafique , Mehrab Hossain Opi.
