BCB announces squad for West Indies tour

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced on Monday the 15-member Bangladesh Test squad for upcoming West Indies tour.
The players will report to Head Coach of Bangladesh National Cricket team Steve Rhodes at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city’s Mirpur today at 2.00 pm.
The Bangladesh side are scheduled to leave for the Caribbean Island on June 23 to play two Tests, three ODIs and three Twenty20 International matches against West Indies. The first Test will start at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, Antigua on July 4, while the second Test will begin at Sabina Park, Kingston, Jamaica from July 12.
‘Cutter Boy’ Mustafizur Rahman has been ruled out from the squad due to injury.
Pacer Taskin Ahmed and batsman Sabbir Rahman and all-rounder Mosaddek Hossain have been dropped from the squad.
All-rounder Abu Jayed has been included in the squad for his performance in the outgoing Afghanistan series. Kamrul Islam Rabbi and pacer Shafiul Islam have been called for the upcoming series.
The players, who have been selected, are: Shakib Al Hasan (Captain), Tamim Iqbal, Imrul Kayes, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah Riyad, Liton Kumar Das, Mominul Haque, Mehidy Hassan Miraz, Taijul Islam, Kamrul Islam Rabbi, Rubel Hossain, Nurul Hasan Sohan, Abu Jayed, Nazmul Hossain Shanto and Shafiul Islam.
