The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Saturday announced the 14-member Bangladesh Test squad for the upcoming first Test of the two ICC World Test Championship against Pakistan. The first Test will be held at Rawalpindi from February 7 to February 11.
Mominul Haque has been named Captain of the squad.
Dashing opener Tamim Iqbal, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Soumya Sarkar
and pacer Rubel Hossain have been recalled in the squad.
On the other hand, Openers Shadman Islam, Imrul Kayes, all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz, all-rounder Mosaddek Hossain and left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman have been dropped from the squad.
The players, who have been chosen, are: Mominul Haque (Captain), Tamim Iqbal, Saif Hasan, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Mahmudullah Riyad, Md Mithun, Liton Das, Taijul Islam, Nayeem Hasan, Ebadat Hossain, Abu Jayed Chowdhury, Al-Amin Hossain, Rubel Hossain and Soumya Sarkar.
