The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced on Thursday Bangladesh squad for the third and final ODI against Afghanistan. The third and final ODI will be held tomorrow at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. The match starts at 2.30 pm.
Earlier, Bangladesh posted a seven-run win in the first ODI at the same venue on September 25.
Later, Afghanistan levelled the ODI series 1-1 beating Bangladesh by two wickets in the second ODI at the same venue on September 28.
The selectors have dropped pacer Rubel Hossain and spinner Mosarraf Hossain Rubel has been included in the squad.
Chief Selector of BCB Minhajul Abedin said, ” We have seen Afghanistan were struggling to play spin bowling in the first two matches. So we’ve decided to include Mosarraf for the third match.”
The players, who have been selected, are: Mashrafe Bin Mortaza (Captain), Shakib Al Hasan (Vice-Captain),Tamim Iqbal Khan, Soumya Sarkar, Imrul Kayes, Mushfiqur Rahim, Shabbir Rahman, Mosaddek Hossain, Mahmudullah Riyad, Nasir Hossain, Taijul Islam, Shafiul Islam, Taskin Ahmed and Mosarraf Hossain Rubel.
