BCB announces Bangladesh Cricket Squad for World Cup

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced on Tuesday the 15-member Bangladesh Cricket Squad for ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, which is scheduled to be held in England and Wales from May 30. Chief Selector of BCB Minhajul Abedin announced the Squad at the Press Conference Room in the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
Left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman, pacer Abu Jayed, all-rounder and specialist off-spinner Mosaddek Hossain, all-rounder and specialist pacer Mohammad Saifuddin have been called for the first time to play in the World Cup.
Besides, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Liton Das, Md Mitun have been included in the World Cup Squad for the first time.

Mustafizur Rahman: The left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman made his debut in 2015 against India. He claimed 11 wickets against India in two ODI matches. The ‘Wonder Boy’ played 43 ODI matches. He had five-wicket haul for three times. He captured 77 wickets.
Liton Kumer: Liton Kumer has been included in the Bangladesh Squad in 2014. He played 17 One Day International (ODI) matches. He scored 508 runs including one century and one half century. He hit a sparkle 121 in the final of the Asia Cup 2018.
Md Mithun: Md Mithun’s debut was in 2014. After that he struck two half-centuries against New Zealand last year and hit two fifties in Asia Cup.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz: Miraz played 25 ODI matches and scored 291 runs including one half-century. He captured 26 wickets.
Mosaddek Hossain: Mosaddek made ODI debut in 2016. He played 24 ODI matches. He scored 341 runs including one half-century. He claimed 11 wickets.
Mohammad Saifuddin: Mohammad Saifuddin played 10 ODI matches after his debut in 2017. He played 10 ODI matches. He scored 175 runs including one half-century. He bagged seven wickets.
Abu Jayed: Abu Jayed did not play any ODI. The 25-year pacer played three T20I matches. He captured four wickets.
