The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced on Sunday the 16.member Bangladesh squad for the upcoming Tri-Nation ODI series. Hosts Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe will take part in the Tri-Nation series, which is scheduled to be held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) from January 15.
Chief Selector of BCB Minhazul Abedin Nannu announced the squad in front of a good number of journalists at the Media Conference Room in the SBNCS on Sunday.
Opener Soumya Sarkar, wicketkeeper-batsman Liton Kumar Das and pacer Taskin Ahmed were dropped from the squad.
Opener Anamul Haque Bijoy, wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Mithun, pacer Abul Hasan Raju and spinner Sunzamul Islam have been recalled in the squad.
The cricketers have been selected for the two matches of the upcoming Tri-Nation series.
The players, who have been chosen are: Tamim Iqbal, Imrul Kayes, Anamul Haque Bijoy, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah Riyad, Sabbir Rahman, Nasir Hossain, Mashrafe Bin Mortaza (Captain), Mehedi Hasan Miraz, Mustafizur Rahman, Rubel Hossain, Abul Hasan Raju, Mohammad Saifuddin, Sunzamul Islam and Mohammad Mithun.
