BCB announces 15-member squad for ICC World T20 Cricket

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced on Wednesday the 15-member squad for the ICC World Twenty20 Cricket scheduled to be held in India from March 8.
Two players have been recalled in the squad. They are: Wicketkeeper-batsman Md Mithun and promising all-rounder Nasir Hossain.
Two newcomers have been included in the squad. They are: Nurul Hasan Sohan and Abu Haider Rony. Five pacers have been chosen for the squad. They are: Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, Mustafizur Rahman, Abu Haider, Al-Amin Hossain and Taskin Ahmed.
Liton Kumar Das, Mosaddek Hossain, Ariful Haque, Shafiul Islam, Mohammad Shaid, Abul Hasan Raju have been dropped from the 25-member preliminary squad.
The players, who have been selected, are: Masrafe Bin Mortaza (Captain), Shakib Al Hasan (Vice-Captain), Tamim Iqbal, Soumya Sarker, Md Mithun, Mahmudullah Riyad, Mushfiqur Rahim, Shabbir Rahaman, Nasir Hossain, Mustafizur Rahman, Al-Amin Hossain, Taskin Ahmed, Arafat Sunny, Abu Haider Rony and Nurul Hasan Sohan.
The stand-bys are: Imrul Kayes, Kamrul Islam Rabbi, Shuvagata Hom Chowdhury and Mukhtar Ali.
Bangladesh, Netherlands, Ireland and Oman have been placed in the Group ‘A’ of the first round of the World Twenty20 Cricket. Bangladesh will start their World T20 campaign against Netherlands on March 9.
