Dhaka, Feb 3 (UNB) – Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Wednesday announced the squad for the upcoming ICC World Twenty20 to be held in India from March 8 to April 3. Masrafe Bin Mortaza will lead the Tigers’ while world famed all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan assist him as vice captain. Mohammad Mithun and Nurul Hasan Sohan, who made his T20I debutant against Zimbabwe in January, have been included in the squad as wicketkeepers along with Test skipper Mushfiqur Rahim, a veteran batsman-cum-skipper for Bangladesh. All rounder Nasir Hossain back in the squad after being rested in a series and Arafat Sunny will accompany Shakib as spinner. New inclusion Abu Hider Rony will enrich the pace department along with skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza and youngster Taskin Ahmed. Opener Imrul Kayes, middle order batsman Shuvagata Hom, new comer Muktar Ali and Kamrul Hasan Rabbi named as stand by player. Bangladesh will start their tournament campaign taking on Netherlands in their Group-A match at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamsala on March 9. Earlier, Bangladesh has been placed in the Group-A with Netherlands, Ireland and Oman.
