Bangladesh Buddhist Federation (BBF) will award 26 personalities for their outstanding contributions to establish BBF and Dhaka International Bouddha Bihar (DIBB) today.
They will be awarded as ‘Lifetime Honour’ at a meeting of BBF on the premises of DIBB, said a press release.
The personalities, including Shantopodo Mohathero (posthumous), DIBB Deputy Principal Venerable Budhananda Mohathero, BBF Founder President Advocate SK Chowdhury, BBF Founder Vice Presidents Monulal Barua (posthumous), Marthondho Protap Barua (posthumous) and Bishawpoti Barua, Founder General Secretary Engineer Dibhendhu Bikash Chowdhury, BBF founding member and former Managing Director and Chief Editor of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) DP Barua, Dhaka University Professor Dr Sukomol Barua, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Dean Professor Dr Kanak Kanti Barua and Media Personality Chinmoy Mutsuddhi, will be given awards.
All life members of BBF will attend the meeting, said the release.
