BB to train 10,200 workforces in 3 yrs

The central bank approved eight organisations including Creative IT for conducting the skill development programme

Bangladesh Bank is going to train some 10,200 workforces in 12 trades including ICT, garment, light engineering, automobile and industrial electrical maintenance in the next 3 years.
The central bank formed a project titled ‘Skills for Employment Investment Program’ (SEIP) under the financial assistance of the Asian Development Bank and Swiss Agency for Development and Co-Operation.
 Creative IT Limited is getting involved in Bangladesh Bank’s ‘Skills for Employment Investment Program’ (SEIP) as IT organization. Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr. Atiur Rahman has handed over the respective approval letter to Creative IT’s Chairman Md. Monir Hossain in a ceremony last Sunday.
Present at the ceremony at the time were Bangladesh Bank’s Executive Director of SME and Special Programs Division Nirmol Chandra Bhakta, Deputy Governor SK Sur Chowdhury, Additional Secretary of Finance Ministry and Director of the national project Jalal Ahmed, Additional Secretary and Executive Director Abdur Rouf Talukder, Creative IT’s MD Utpol Kumar Sarkar, Deputy Managing Director Parveen Akter Shompa and many more.
Eight organizations including Creative IT has been selected to take part in the program.
Prospective trainees will have to be class eight to master’s graduate depending on the category of training. On special cases trainees will be supplied with pocket money and residence. Bangladesh Bank created an open tender to find suitable training institute for the program in which 157 organizations participated. 8 of those institutes have been selected. Elected organizations’ heads have been handed over notification award in the ceremony.
Asian Development Bank and Swiss Agency for Development and Co-Operation is financing the program to train the youth of the country in productive skills. On the same note, last October Creative IT received accreditation for creation of entrepreneurs.
