Bangladesh Bank (BB) and police have taken some cautionary measures to check inflow of fake notes in the cattle markets centering the Eid-ul-Azha.
“We have already distributed over 400 fake currency detecting machines across the country as per requisition of the law enforcement agencies to check use and spread of counterfeit notes in the cattle market “, Chief Spokesperson and also Executive Director M Serajul Islam of the central bank told BSS here on Sunday.
All the public and private banks have already been given responsibilities for setting up machines and booths at the cattle markets to identify counterfeit note and take action accordingly, he also said.
