Police have recovered the body of a bank official’s wife from the city’s Maniknagar.
The deceased is Chhanda Roy, 26, wife of Deputy Director of Bangladesh Bank Uttam Kumar.
Being informed, police recovered the hanging body from the seventh floor of Taher Tower on Monday night.
Officer-in-Charge of Mugda Thana Mir Jamal Uddin confirmed the matter to the media on Tuesday noon.
Chhanda Roy obtained masters in economics from the Rajshahi University and got married to Uttam Kumar last July 8.
Police suspect that she committed suicide.
The dead body has been sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
