A Bangladesh Bank (BB) official was killed and three others also injured when a passenger bus crashed into a road divider in the city’s Tikatuli area on Tuesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Golam Hossain, 45, was a Deputy Director of Bangladesh Bank. The injured Sazida, 40, Jalal, and Sujan were admitted at the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), said Bachchu Mia, Sub-inspector and In-Charge of DMCH police outpost.
A local bus crashed into the road divider near Tikatuli Police Box around 7:30am after the driver lost control over steering, said Zeahad Hossain, Officer-in-Charge of Wari Police Station.
Police seized the bus while the driver managed to flee, the police official said.
A case was filed with the police station in this connection , the OC said.
The body was sent to the DMCH morgue for an autopsy, he said.
