Pekuya Faizunessa Govt Primary School of Cox’s Bazar clinched the Chittagong Divisional Bangabandhu Gold Cup Primary School Football title beating Astagram Murshid Govt Primary School of Brahmanbaria by 2-0 goals in the final at the MA Aziz Stadium here on Wednesday.
Rashed and Ashab scored one each for the champions while Enamul of the runners-up team was adjudged the man of the match.
In the Bangamata Begum Fazilatunessa Mujib Gold Cup Primary School Football tournament, Kawkhali Gagra Govt Primary School of Rangamati emerged champions beating Parshuram Baur Pathar Govt Primary School of Feni by 4-0 goals in the final at the same venue on Wednesday.
Rituporna and Mesi Meng Marma struck two goals each for the winners. Morium Akhter of the runners-up team named as man of the match.
Champions of both the tournaments earned the right to play in the national level of the tournament.
Divisional Commissioner of Chittagong Mohammad Abdullah was the chief guest in the day’s final and later he distributed the prizes. General Secretary of Chittagong DSA AJM Nasiruddin was also present as special guest on the occasion.
