Bangladesh Bank (BB) has eased the rules so the foreign nationals who once lived in Bangladesh, but left the country to make outward remittance from their Non-Resident Taka Accounts (NTRAs).
BB in a circular, issued on Sunday, said on approval from the central bank the non-resident foreign nationals would be allowed to make outward remittance from their NTRAs maintained with the local banks.
“The non-residents would make the outward remittance from the NRTAs to maintain their emergency expenses in the foreign countries,” the circular said.
Besides, the BB said, the non-residents would also be allowed to procure permissible goods and services by using their NRTAs.
