Shaikh Md Salim has been promoted to the post of executive director of the Bangladesh Bank (BB).
Prior to his promotion, Salim was serving as a general manager of the central bank’s financial sector support and strategic planning department, the Bangladesh Bank said in an office order issued on December 2, said a press release.
He received his BSC from Khulna University of Engineering and Technology.
Later, he secured an MBA degree in financial management from University of Hull, England, certificate course in Economics from National University and banking diploma course from Institute of Bankers.
He has visited India, Thailand, Malaysia, Korea, Poland, Czech Republic, Ireland, Germany, France, Italy and Netherlands for official purpose.
Salim was born at Fultala upazila in Khulna.
