BB announces cash incentive for exporters

Like last year, goods and products under 27 categories will get cash incentive or subsidy against their exports during the current 2017-18 financial year (FY18).
Bangladesh Bank (BB) today in a circular announced the rate of the cash incentive ranged between 2 per cent and 20 per cent.
Fish, frozen with over 40 per cent ice, will get the lowest 2 per cent while diversified jute products, halal meat, potato, active pharmaceuticals ingredients (API) and agro-products will get the highest 20 percent cash incentive.
The handicraft items made out of elephant grass (hogla), paddy straw (khor) and sugarcane bark (akher chobra) will receive 20 percent while light engineering will get 15 per cent cash incentive.
Exporters of leather products will be given 15 per cent when 10 per cent cash incentive will be entitled to exporters of crushed and finished leather from Savar Leather Industry city and ship export.
Export oriented apparel sector will get 4 percent cash incentive instead of customs, bond and duty draw-back and small and medium garment factories will also get 4 percent cash incentive.
Apparel sector will get 3 percent cash incentive in USA, Canada and European Union (EU) for expansion of new markets and new products.
Exporters of plastic products, locally produced paper and paper related products, software, information technology enabled services and hardware will get 10 percent cash incentive.
