The students of a male residential dormitory of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) in Mymensingh staged demonstration on the campus due to lack of water supply in their dormitory on Monday.
On Sunday at around 5:00pm the students of Isha Khan Hall gathered in front of Students affairs’ adviser office and uttered slogans demanding continuous water supply in their dormitory. The demonstrating students said thatthey have been facing water crisis for 2 months and absence of water supply since last 3 days.
Provost Prof DrMdZakirHossen said, “The water crisis is due to problem in the water pump. However I informed the matter to engineer section of the university but have not got any solution”.
Proctor Prof AKM Zakir Hossain said that the university administration have talked with the engineers of the Rural Development Academy (RDA) in Bogra with a view to solve the problem. He also hoped that the water crisis will come to an end very soon.
