The students of a male residential dormitory of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) in Mymensingh on Sunday staged demonstration on the campus due to lack of water supply in their dormitory.
Students of Isha Khan Hall gathered in front of Students affairs’ adviser office and uttered slogans demanding continuous water supply in their dormitory.
The demonstrating students said that they have been facing water crisis for 2 months and absence of water supply since last 3 days.
Provost Prof Dr Md Zakir Hossen said, “The water crisis is due to problem in the water pump.
However I informed the matter to engineer section of the university but have not got any solution”.
Proctor Prof AKM Zakir Hossain said that the university administration have talked with the engineers of the Rural Development Academy (RDA) in Bogra with a view to solve the problem. He also hoped that the water crisis would come to an end very soon.
