A good number unlicensed battery-run rickshaws, van and other three- wheeler vehicles are run in the high way defying low mercilessly in Bogra district.
The unlicensed vehicle is creating frequent road mishap at all busy roads in Bogra town from many days. These unbridled vehicles are creating untold suffering for the commuters across the area. Sometimes, these illegal vehicles are plying indiscriminately outside of the town.
Increasing good number battery-run rickshaws, van and other three wheelers vehicle on different roads of Bogra district are also causing accidents on a regular basis as their high speed does not match with their structure. These vehicles are operated by rechargeable batteries and consume a huge amount of electricity.
When the district is gripped by regular power outages, there is no account of how much electricity is eaten up by these rickshaws. But, the authorities concerned remain totally indifferent about these unauthorized and hazardous vehicles for unknown reasons.
The makers of Mokamtola, Cahomuhny, Gabtoly, Charmatha, Voberbazar, Thanthonia, Matidali and Mohasthangore are engaged in illegal business of making these unsecured vehicles aiming huge income round the year and are providing to the clients across the district.

Local office going people urged that unregulated operation of the battery-operated vehicles tends to cause traffic problems and are causing nuisance on the roads. It also raising serious concern over the accidents, they again urged.
