The battery-driven rickshaws will not be allowed to move on the streets of Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) from next Saturday.
A joint meeting in participation of the CCC, BRTA, Chittagong district administration and Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) was held on Sunday at the CMP Headquarter, where the authorities concerned took the decision of banning the movement of battery-driven rickshaws on the city streets.
The meeting also asked the owners of the battery-driven rickshaws to remove battery from their rickshaws by August 29.
