Basic course for responders held at AFD

The closing ceremony of “Basic Assistance and Protection Course for Responders-1”, was organized for capacity building of chemical incident or accident and disaster management related personnel at the Armed Forces Division in the city on Thursday.
Lieutenant General Md. Mahfuzur Rahman Chairman, Bangladesh National Authority for Chemical Weapons Convention (BNACWC) and Principal Staff Officer, Armed Forces Division was present as the chief guest at the closing ceremony.
A total of 44 officers from different ministries, Armed Forces, Fire Service and Civil Defence, Bangladesh Police, Bangladesh Ansar and VDP attended the course.
The subject training was held from 15 to 17 October 2019 at Armed Forces Division. Practical part of the training was held at Fire Service and Civil Defence station, Purbachal, Dhaka.
Participants learned theoretical and practical lessons on identification of chemical warfare agent.
