BASIC Bank Limited has earned Taka 43 crore operating profit in the just-concluded calendar year -2017, said a press release.
The state-owned bank faced loss in 2014 and 2015, but it made operating profit of Taka nine crore in 2016, the release added. The bank has earned the profit for reducing administrative costs, distributing new loans and recovering the default loans.
The total amount of credit has increased to 14,556.86 crore in 2017 from Taka 13,478.28 crore in 2016.
