Bashundhara-Mohun Bagan do-or-die match of AFC Cup today

Bashundhara Kings of Bangladesh will face ATK Mohun Bagan of India in their do-or-die Group-D match of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Cup at the National Football Stadium in Male, the capital city of Maldives today. The match will kick-off at 5.00pm (Bangladesh Standard Time). Today the two giant clubs of Bangladesh and India will lock-horn in their third and last Group-D match.
Before today’s match, ATK Mohun Bagan grabbed six points from two matches, while Bashundhara Kings earned four points from as many matches.
Even if ATK Mohun Bagan draw with Bashundhara Kings, they will reach the semi-finals of the Inter-Zone playoff stage.
On the other, Bashundhara Kings have to win against Mohun Bagan, if they want to play in the semi-finals of the Inter-Zone playoff stage. If Bashundhara settle for a draw with Mohun Bagan, Bashundhara will be ousted from the competition.
Mohun Bagan made a good start as they defeated Bangaluru FC of India by two goals to nil in their opening Group-D match on August 18.
Bashundhara Kings made an auspicious start as they eased past Maziya Sports & Recreation Club of Maldives by 2-0 goals in their first Group-D match on the same day.
Mohun Bagan retained their winning streak as they thrashed Maziya Sports & Recreation Club by 3-1 goals in their second match on August 21.
On the other hand, Bashundhara Kings made a goalless draw with Bengaluru FC on the same day.
