Bashundhara Kings have drafted Gambian forward Nuha Marong for the second phase of the TVS Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football and the Group-D matches of AFC Cup. Bashundhara Kings included Nuha Marong in their squad on the last day of the mid-term players’ transfer window of the BPL Football on Thursday. Nuha Marong signed the agreement paper on behalf of the League leaders in the office room of Bashundhara Kings in the city on Thursday.
Bashundhara Kings usually give priority to the South American footballers. But the reigning champions of the BPL Football have included Gambian forward Nuha Marong from Africa as the ace forward has capacity to show a better brand of soccer.
Meanwhile, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) released the fixture of the Group-D matches of AFC Cup. Bashundhara Kings from Bangladesh, ATK Mohun Bagan from India, Gokulam Kererla FC from India and Maziya Sports & Recreation Club of Maldives will take part in the Group-D matches of the AFC Cup.
Bashundhara Kings will take on Maziya Sports & Recreation Club on May 18 at 6.00pm, while Bashundhara Kings will face ATK Mohun Bagan on May 21 at 2.00pm and Bashundhara Kings will meet Gokulam Kerela FC on May 24 at 2.00pm. The matches will be held at Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata, the former capital city of India.
The champions of the Group-D will move into the final round of AFC Cup.
