Bashundhara Kings beat Arambagh Krira Sangha by a solitary goal in their second leg match of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football at the Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the city’s Kamalapur on Thursday.
Bashundhara Kings already emerged the champions in the ongoing BPL Football, the most prestigious domestic football meet of the country.
Bashundhara Kings went to Maldives to take part in their Group-D matches of the AFC Cup. So, They played against minnows Arambagh without their key players.
Bashundhara Kings achieved 58 points from 21 matches, while Arambagh Krira Sangha earned five points from 20 matches.
After a barren first half, Biplu Ahmed of Bashundhara Kings scored the all-important by a right-footer forceful shot at the dying moment.
Earlier, Bashundhara Kings failed to uitilse an easy chance in the 31st minute of the play. Ibrahim and Fahim Morshed entered the Arambagh danger zone and then Fahim Morshed crossed the ball but his teammates failed to tap the ball into the blank net.

Meanwhile, Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited thrashed Uttar Baridhara Club by 5-1 goals in the day’s other match of the Bangladesh Premier League Football at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on the same day.
Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club collected 42 points from 20 matches, while Uttar Baridhara Club earned 16 points from as many matches.
Sheikh Jamal’s Gambian recruit Omar Jobe hit a brilliant hat-trick for his team and his teammate Sulayman Sillah scored two goals, while Reza of Uttar Baridhara pulled off one.
Omar put his team ahead in the 15th minute of the match. He doubled the margin in the 23rd minute of the game.
Reza of Uttar Baridhara returned one in the 33rd minute of the clash.
Sulayman made it 3-1 in the 70th minute of the encounter.
Omar fulfilled his hat-trick in the 75th minute of the play.
Sulayman sealed the fate of the match (5-1) in the 93rd minute of the game.
