November 17 was the 75th birth anniversary of legendary singer of Bangla songs Bashir Ahmed.
To pay tribute to this legendary musician, also music director, Pothikrit Foundation and cultural organisation Swapnokuri jointly arranged a memorial evening titled Bashir Ahmed Smaran Sondhya yesterday evening at Sangskriti Bikash Kendra in the city’s Poribagh area.
Promising singers of present time Monir Chowdhury, Tumpa Das, Sushanto Saikat, Elif, Parvez Sajjad, Sadia and son and daughter of Bashir Ahmed – Raza Bashir and Humaira Bashir performed in the programme.
Therefore, Rezaul Karim Hitlu also rendered two popular Urdu songs in the programme.
