Fortune Barishal will take on Comilla Victorians in the first qualifier of the Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Cricket at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city’s Mirpur today. The match starts at 5.30pm. Earlier, Chattogram Challengers will face Khulna Tigers in the eliminator phase at the same venue today. The game begins at 12.30pm. Private satellite channel GTV and private satellite sports channel T Sports will telecast the matches live from the venue. A limited number of spectators can watch the play-off matches sitting at the galleries of the ‘Home of Cricket’.
The winners of the match between Barishal and Comilla will get tickets in the final of the gala cricket meet.
The winners of the eliminator phase between Chattogram Challengers and Khulna Tigers will move into the second qualifier. The losers of the first qualifier between Barishal and Comilla will play in the second qualifier match against the winners of the eliminator phase at the same venue. The winners of the second qualifier will play in the final. The second qualifier match will be held at the same venue on February 16. The match will start at 5.30pm.
The final will be held on February 18. The match will start at 6.30pm.
Fortune Barishal led the points table grabbing 15 points from 10 matches, while Comilla Victorians achieved the second position collecting 13 points from 10 outings.
Chahttogram Challengers took the third position bagging 10 points from 10 matches, while Khulna Tigers took the fourth spot earning as many matches. Chattogram have better run rate than Khulna.
