Sheikh Russel Day has been celebrated in Barishal. On this occasion, prizes were distributed among the winners of the seminar and essay-drawing competition organized by the Deputy Commissioner at the Circuit House Conference Room on Monday.
Divisional Commissioner Md. Saiful Hasan Badal was present as the chief guest at the function presided over by Deputy Commissioner Jasim Uddin Haider. Special guests were Barishal Metropolitan Police Commissioner Md. Shahabuddin Khan BPM (Bar), DIG Barisal Range SM Akhtaruzzaman, Govt BM College principale Mohammad Golam Kibria, District A-League General Secretary Talukder Md Yunus, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Overall) Barishal Prashant Kumar Das, Bir Muktijoddha KSA Mohiuddin Manik Bir Pratik, Sonak President Prof Shah Sajeda and other officials and employees of various departments of Barishal district were present. Later, the guests distributed prizes among the winners of the essay and painting competition on the occasion of the 58th birth anniversary of Sheikh Russel at Barisal district and divisional level.
